no idle.....

Hey everyone, as you can tell i am pretty new. i am having problems with my idle. i can start it just fine.... but if i dont give it gas it will die. i dont know what the problem is... does anybody have any ideas??

oops duhh i have a '88 turbo II. As for details... there isnt much i can say. i can start the car give it gas and have it running while i give it gas but once i take my foot off the gas it dies.

Vacuum/metered air leak or TPS issue can cause symptoms like that. There are links in the 2nd gen FAQ that go into detail about setting a TPS. A common source of a leak is at the plastic TID connected to the turbo inlet. They're usually cracking after 20+ years.
