New car, got a couple kinks to work out…
Hey all, I recently got my 1989 GTU on the road, and after driving it for a few days I’ve discovered a couple issues that I need some help working out.
First things first is, when the car is cold and not up to running temp it’ll idle rough. Bouncing up and down around 1k rpms till it’s warm, then it stops and settles.
My second issue is that the wiper switch doesn’t work at all, and the tachometer also doesn’t work every now and then.
besides that, the car seems to run fine. It’s got 125k miles and I just changed the oil on it. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’ve got a list of things that I’m looking to do to it that I’ve made based on reading threads on here. Just looking to get it running as well as I can so I can enjoy driving it without and crazy issues.

welcome to the board.
first, you will need reference material if you don't already have any. you can download a copy of the FSM from: Foxed.ca
for your idle issue, you can check the coolant temp sensor and the BAC.
for the tach, check the trailing ignition coil.
for the wiper, start with the fuse. if that doesn't fix it, then you may need to take a look at the switch itself.
