Unhappy Please Help My Shiznit got issues.

This problem has been going on for a couple of weeks now.

I start the car cold its fine. Goes to 3k like usual and then shortly goes back to about 1k. Idles perfect.

I drive around a little bit it. Now its at operating temp. About 1/3/ up on the temp guage. Now I park and let it idle for about 5-10 minutes.

I get back in and start driving. Now its all screwed. I'll hit the pedal and the fuel cuts out or the spark cuts.

It feels like some one is screwing with the on/off switch to my car.

Bucka-Bucka-Bucka---------silence----------Bucka-Bucka-Bucka----------buck-------buck-buck---buck

Is my car becoming a bucking, bucket???

I'm not well versed with rotories.

So I Disconnect the power to the secondaries (RPM gauge not working now). This helps a bit but no kick after 4k of course. Eventually it happens again.

Iv'e had my tps and EGR disconnected for about 8 mos now but this is the first time this has ever happened.

Also so once in a while after driving a bit. I'll park an shut the engine down. Then when I go to start. It will start fine but the RPM's bounce off of 1500RPM and will not go past this. If I go past this the car goes...
Bucka----------buck-------buck-buck---buck.

I'll drive the car under 1500 RPM for about 3 blocks then eventually this goes away. Two totally different problems?? Or are they related.

Thanks for any advice guys!!!

Need some more details about your setup. Have you yanked emissions, etc? Sounds like you have...

I have only a precat to a resonator to a muffler.

The tube that connected to the Main cat is connected to the exaust still but just not to a cat.

Egr is still there but the diaphram is shot so no vacume on the Egr. Tps is disconnected. it was faulty (i tested it) it was causing my Fc to hella back fire.

Thats pretty much it. All stock with those exceptions.
Very minor exaust leak at the turbo to precat location.

Secondaries are a little leaky. Need cleaning. thats about it.

Any advice or help please! thanks

Jesus! Replace the TPS! No wonder your poor 7 is running like ****. The poor car doesn't know what it's own throttle is doing.

Get the EGR, too, of course.

Are you using the stock ECU??? if so then you need the TPS.

I dont really understand how the TPS works anyways. It only has contact with the tb shaft (or whatever, too lazy to go look at my tb) for about anything below 1/3 throttle.

regardless TPS is crutial for the stock ecu and most aftermarket ecu's to work on! REPLACE it, and then see if your problem persists!

i replaced it

yoo hoo!!!!

i replaced it and my car is running perfect now
(knock on wood).

I went to adjust it and remember it was supposed to be adjusted at a sliding impedance from WOT 1 to 6 closed throttle.

I tried the tps from WOT 1 to 6 ohms @ 20k but it wont go higher than WOT .35 to 5.35 closed throttle.

will this affect anything too much??

It should be between 5-6k ohm. You probably ended up with a vac leak or something of the sort. A series 4 can usually run just fine without the TPS (if there are no vac leaks/etc) Oh well, if it's doing good now, why bother.

I dont remeber if the TPS I installed was from a N/A or Turbo and I dont recall the year. Does this make much of a difference?? I got it from the Junkyard BTW

Nope, no difference, other than the bracket they sit on (s5 at least are different brackets)
