Check to make sure the AFM is plugged in and that the harness is in good shape.

sorry

sorry kinda half asleep yes it is plugged in and the harness is good. but the guy that had it before me took out the air box and just put on a k&n cone filter. but it ran just fine when he had it. till he let it sit for 6 months then it started doing this. but i checked the plugs wires and coils and there all good and throwing spark. could it have anything to do with the TPS?

It could just be the fact that it sat for 6 months. Sometimes they need a little bit of time to come alive again.

Can you keep it running by pressing the gas?

It could be a vacuum leak. If it is, it will be a very big one.

well the ACV had the upper nut missing. and it had a 1/4" gap in it. and i think that is whats wrong. with the vacum leak that is. but i took that off got a new filter. and gonna buy a block off plate today and see if that helps with anything.

Yes, that would be a big vacuum leak. Also check the black intake tube from the AFM to the throttle body.

Once you do get it running, build some kind of cold air box around the filter.

Ummmm I'm surprised noone mentioned the cold start. All Fcs do this to help warm them up and keep from flooding. Its normal
