mystery tube off block and oil fill tube...

1979 12a spec rx7 prepped. These two tubes are metal and are about 3 inches apart. currently there is nothing attached. If i were to take a guess, id say they were some emmissions system no longer used or a pcv system. The thing that confuses me is that pretty close to those is the distributor (about one foot) and it has two vacuum advance diaphrams that are not attached to anything (reason is that the timing is locked for racing). did these two go together? Should i plug either of them or leave them open?

Thanks all for the help

Those tubes go to a collector canister that was mounted on the inner right fender and steel tube mounted on the firewall. The tube goes to I no not where. these both are emmission devices, collecting bad stuff from the oil pan. The tubes on the distributor have nothing to do with them. In stock form these tube are vaccum lines connecting to the intake manifold. They provide vaccum advance. In high perfromace applications they are often disconnected.
