Question Missing Connection on Air Intake Duct

Hey everyone,

I have a 1987 Turbo II FC. I was poking around in the engine bay yesterday and noticed one of the lines on the back of the air intake duct has completely rotted away. Looking at the Haynes manual, it looks like its supposed to connect to somewhere right next to the duty solenoid valve, but I haven't been able to track the line. Anyone know where the missing line is supposed to connect to? Any ideas on what types of problems this may cause? I'm still new to this, so pictures/detailed explanations would be appreciated

If your engine is s4 t2, you’re looking at the wrong vacuum diagram. S4 had only 1 like to the intake as shown in my image. The 1 line should be for pcv.

The 2nd like would be for a s5 for the boost control solenoid, which s4 doesn’t have.
If this is the case, you should put a vacuum cap on that open fitting. With it open, it could causing a vacuum leak and causing it to run funky depending on your ecu & sensor setup.
