NJ looking at a used 87 turbo 2

so i was driving past my local used car lots and something cought my eye.... an 87 rx7 turbo 2. so i pull in a start conversing with the sales man and he tells me that the car has a problem with flooding out when you shut it down. so i take for a test drive with him sure enough it stalls out and wont start. (luckilly we were about 12 feet from the drive way). we push it back in the lot and continue talking, he wants $2700 and its got 126k . he also said it needed injector o-rings, which is the reason its flooding out. i called a local speedshop that works with rotary motors and the guy said ngk 4 prong plugs and new wires, cap rotor would take care of the problem. anyone think this worth grabing?

Flooding (when warm) is a common problem that is usually fixed by having the injectors cleaned. There are local companies, or places like www.witchhunter.com that can do it by mail. Old injector o-rings can cause vacuum leaks that will cause poor idle, which could cause it to stall at a light, etc...

The local speedshop guy is an idiot. New plugs and wires won't stop flooding.

Probably. If it runs strong and doesn't seem to have any other major flaws, it could be a good pick up.
