J-spec FD needs brake booster vacuum hose
Title says it all. I sent some pictures to a rotary specialist and he believes it's a brake booster vacuum hose. To those of you with the rhd version, it should be the hose that's connected to the round thing in the back left part of the engine bay, and to the engine. I'm not a mechanic by any means, so I don't know what the round thing is called.
Anyway, the mechanic told me the North American model and the Japanese ones are different, so it'd be best to get a Japanese hose. I just need help getting a hold of one, preferably new.. Anyone know where I could order one?
Thanks a lot

that big round thing is called a Brake booster.
Now the hose that you are referring to goes from that to the engine.
That hose has a check valve in it,that allows vacuum one way only so when you put the brakes on the vacuum from the engine helps the booster to assist the brakes.Without the booster you would need a Big LEG to stop your car..lol!
Now if it is Installed wrong, the brakes will be Hard as hell and stopping power is just about non existant.
Honestly I can't see the part Being different as it is is just being installed right to left, instead of left to right.
Look up "RAY CROWE @ MALLOY MAZDA " on Google or find his Phone number in the GOOD GUY SECTION on Forum.
He works at that dealership and is the Forum's TOP Parts guy...at least we like to call him "ours"..He should know the True answer to this.
Good luck.
