Intake Pipe with an opening?

What is this red pipe coming off my intake? I wanted to know if it has to be plugged or not on my FD. I have a v mount set up and I bought the car after mods and I’m so lost to what this is, I have been having major boost leaks as well so I wasn’t sure if this could have an affect or not , please don’t call me stupid I know I just really like the car and trying to understand it better

you cant have a boost leak on your intake pipe. look up the stock FD airbox and what connects to it and you will find your answer. you would do yourself some good to exert 100% more effort than you did before making this post if you want to own an FD. if not, you need a lot of money to have someone else look after the car for you. if you're being honest about wanting to understand the car better then try reading the wealth of information that has been built on this forum over the past 20+ years. you can also browse the usdm manual for general information. your car being RHD shares 90% the same technical information application as a LHD. there are some subtle electrical differences but it doesn't become relevant all too often.
