Exclamation HELP PLEASE!!! Changing Turbo Intake Pipe

Fellas,

I tried to change the primary turbo intake pipe (the black plastic 90-deg pipe) and it is much more impossible then I thought. The vacuum hose nipple broke off, so I have to change it to get the boost working perfect again.

There are the metal vacuum pipes with 2 flanges bolted to the same place as the intake pipe, which makes things really beautiful

Is it possible to take this intake pipe out without actually pulling the whole turbo assembly? How do you "flex" this metal vacuum lines so you can pull the intake pipe off?

I'm kinda desperate right now, so any helps or enlightenment would cheer me a lot. Thanks in advance.

i dont think i am understanding you correctly.... are you taling about the primary intake pipe that goes from your airbox to your primary turbo?

if so, it's a breeze to take off. i pretty sure it's only two bolts hold that thing on....

follow up pls. some pics will help...

There is not a vacuum nipple on the primary intake pipe, and as Econsiderate said - it is very simple to take off, just two hose clamps. In think you should post a pic or two because I am not following your description at all...

I think hes typing about the actual inlet pipe from the turbos themselves. Plastic 90degree pipe thats either polished pipe or accordian hose connects to for air intakes... I'm going to change my soon once I have some time cause my inlet pipe has a crack so when I start the job i'll post about it. Sorry for not really helping but thought I would try and clear up the confusion cause i think I know what you are typing about..

Here's the pipe I'm talking about. I called RP and Chris told me just to use all my guts when pulling the sucker out. Got that part done, and boy it felt good

Now, I realized that the rubber vacuum hoses that supposed to connect to the nipples has harden over time, that it is easy to snap them into two pieces.

Does anybody know if there exist silicone hoses with the exact sizes for them? One hose is bigger than the other. If anyone has some excess vacuum hose of these sizes lying around, would you share it with me? I'll pay shipping and the cost of hose itself for half foot of each.

Ok, I get it now...

I do have quite a bit of silicone hose laying around. I am not sure what size that takes, but if you measure it and post it I'll see if I have what you need.

Novadan67: I would need 1-ft of each 6mm and 8mm hoses. If you have them lying around, then PM me your paypal address and I'll send the hose cost + Priority shipping to Ames, IA 50014
