premixing is like what you do with the oil on your lwanmower or weed wacker.
some people prefer this method over the stock oil metering pumpfor various reasons, but it isnt better by a whole lot. in some cases, people just block everything off and run the premix, or the modify the oil metering pump to suck in the premix instead of the engine oil. There are kits that allow you to do this on some rx7 vendor websites, but youll have to search for that as i dont know of any off the top of my head.

general rule of thumb is 1 oz per 100 oz. so lets say 1 gallon has 128 oz, and the tank holds 16 gallons. if you fill up with 14 or so gallons thats 1700 or so oz. so youll put in about 17 oz. some people think this is a little bit much, and often people run less. i tend to run about 10 to 12 oz of 2-stroke oil on each fill up.

Theres plenty of premix discussions on here if you search, that being said, heres the short and quick of it.

WHY
1. the stock OMP has a tendancy to fail, and there really isn't any way to tell when it does. So instead of having it fail and killing the engine due to lack of lubrication, people either premix on top of it, or delete it and premix.
2. The stock OMP injects 4-cycle oil from the oil pan. The oil burns with the fuel when it is injected into the engine, and 4-cycle oil was never intended to be burned and produces a lot of carbon and ash when it does. To solve this problem people do 1 of 2 things. they either premix, or convert the OMP to pull oil from a separate tank filled with 2-cycle oil.
3. the stock OMP doesn't do a very good job of lubricating the whole apex seal and side seals. When premixing, the oil is able to coat all surfaces to help keep all of the seals lubricated. For this reason some people premix on top of the standard OMP.

WHAT
Any TCW-3 rated 2-cycle oil is fine. Some people have an oil that they like better than others, but they're all pretty much the same. the only one that seems to stand out is Idemitsu oil which is supposedly specially formulated for the rotary. They make 4-cycle oil as well.

HOW
When getting gas, you pour however much you need into the tank, then fill up with gas. The hard part is figuring out how much you need. If you're premixing in addition to the stock OMP, then 1/2oz PER GALLON, is plenty. If you're getting rid of the OMP, then you need 1oz per gallon, though some people run more. The only thing you have to be careful of is that the oil lowers the octane rating of the fuel, so if you run too much you could start detonating.

lol, fell asleep while writing this, sorry for the delay.
