I've never heard of them.
But keep in mind that J-spec engines are essentially junkyard engines. They are hit and miss, and the importer has no real way of knowing how much mileage is actually on the engine.

thanks, that brought me back to reality. I've been so excited about buying an engine that I total forgot about what I'm getting into.
So basically, even if the engine is good/bad I should rebuild it (seems like a no-brainer but I'm an amateur at the wankel engine). Nevertheless I still plan on working with the engine even if its not running.

Some people will jump in and say you should immediately rebuild any J-spec, but I really don't agree. If the engine is in good shape when you get it and shows good compression, then there should not be any issues with just using it as is. If you plan to make 400HP, certainly rebuild it since you'll want to street port it anyway. But if it's just a stock replacement or for a TII swap then a rebuild is unnecessary if it's in good condition.

many of these J-spec engines are city driven, so I don't expect a high life expectancy. Not only that, the previous owners of the car may not have been a good driver or even a good maintenance person.
It looks like their web site was only registered in late June of 2008.

Might be wise to go with a more established company.

Did some more searching.
If it's the same company, they don't seem well liked...

If they have a warranty in writing, then it's worth the try. I bought a S4 motor & transmission for $1200 from gotjdm.com, which is somewhat local for me (Indio, CA). They actually buy from Osaka Japanese, which has a so-so reputation, but the sales guy w/ gotjdm was pretty decent and even replaced the transmission after UPS broke the first one in shipment. Having a middle-man ended up working in my favor.
Just make sure you get a receipt of some kind sent to you in case the motor you get is blown. The motor I got was extremely clean internally and had 115/120 compression, which is amazing, and both transmissions shift well too.
So you can luck out and not need to rebuild. But there are blown engines out there being sold by people who have no idea how to test compression, so cover your bases before you commit.
