how to eliminate the oil metering lines on a 87 rx7

how do i go about eliminating the oil metering lines on my 87 rx7?

i tired searching the web but couldnt really find anything.

I have new set of new nylon lines to repair but im having trouble taking the old ones due to the metal clamps.

any help in removing the clamps or eliminating the lines is much appreciated.

thank you

Josh

Cut the "ears" off with some sheet metal shears, and replace them with new ones. If you've already got replacement line, just finish the job. https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/rebuilding-omp-oil-injection-lines-348068/

Removing the metering oil system requires 4 short bolts to take the place of the injectors, and a block off plate for the pump. I think the standard pre-mix ratio is 1 oz. per gallon.

Don't forget to close off any vacuum lines attached to MOP lines. I know I did on my 91.

If you put bolts where the Injectors were, then just to be sure that no leaks will occur(vacuum leaks) use some some copper crush washers,in between the bolt head and the housing..sort of like a regular washer.
This will ensure that you won't have any Vacuum problems from the old injector area.

I found that a wire stripper works good for uninstalling and installing the ear clamps on the oil injector hoses. It just requires some patience.
