hello all. custom rx7 engine build - Philipsburg, Saint Maarten

hello to all my fellow rotary fans. i have just purchased a rx7 motor from japan to install in a vw buggy. there is a company called kennedy engineering that makes a bolt on adapter plate to the vw tranny. so i will have to make my own radiator setup and external fuel pump just to start. then make my own throttle links and so on. the engine is coming as a single turbo top mounted intercooled version and comes with its ecu and wiring harness. im sure i will need tons of advice and im not real sure which thread to post in so any advice there would be nice. please leave any positive feedback and dont waste your time to bash....

If you head over to the "Other Rotary" are of the forum, there are several other rotary Beetle projects in progress.

im looking for the easiest and cheapest ecu option for the 13b single turbo...something that comes with coils and plugs for the injectors and sensors... would i be best going with microtech, haltech, or is there a better option?

Questions/pictures on the swap would probably go here ----> https://www.rx7club.com/old-school-other-rotary-63/
You could also probably post up specific questions about the engine in the 2nd Gen. section. It might get more responses.

BTW, St. Maarten rocks. One of my favorite places to dive. Hope to get back there in a year or so. Just not fair that I'm knee-deep in snow right now and the car is in storage.

The APEX'I Power FC will probably be closest to what your looking for. It was designed to plug into the S6 and subsequent engine harnesses. I'm assuming this is a series 4 or 5 engine, which means you also might be interested in one of the harness adapters too......

You might also find more information and options in the Engine Management section
