Headroom

Hello.

I love my new RX-7. Sunroof and all.

However, it gives me great physical agony to drive it. I'm 5'11" but with shorter legs and a longer torso, so inside most cars I take up as much butt to head space as my friend that is 6'2".

What have you guys done to solve this? Any particular stock seat mods, custom stock seat rails, etc?

Bucket seat-wise I fit in Recaro Profi SPG XLs just fine, I squeeze into Recaro Pole Positions, but can't say I fit like a glove in those. But I want to see if I can avoid full-on race buckets (while getting headroom) just because the high sides make getting in and out a pain, and unlike my other cars, this is a street-only car, not a track car.

Thanks. XD

Roughly same height, to clear with a helmet I have to bolt my Corbeau seats static with no rails haha, I can fit without a helmet with the rails. I don't think youre gonna get much lower than stock tbh, them sit real tight to the floor.

Thanks! Yeah I saw pics of the bottom of the stock seat/rail/pan and I came to a similar conclusion. I had my detailer reach out to an upholstery shop he knows to see if we can do "reconstructive foamectomy" on all parts of the stock seat and just see if we can find ~2 inches out of that somehow, since the stock seat is all torn up and the foam is falling apart anyways. Otherwise I've concluded I'll be doing what my friend did and getting Tillett B8.

I need to look into a WorksBell setup as well, I didn't want to modify the car too much but I think I need a D-shape steering wheel for more space as well, and also to get the wheel closer to me/extended hub.
