6'5" fit in Gen 1?

Hey Everybody,

I'm looking for a project car for autocross or rally. Obviously the Gen 1's are the cheapest RX-7's I can find so I was wondering if I would fit inside of one. I'm 6'5", 270 pounds (I'm the biggest Chinese guy I've ever met). I guess if I install race seats they can be moved back?? Tell me what you think. Thanks.

Will

Maybe if you get race seats and bolt them straight to the floor. I have stock seats, I'm 6'2'' (and nowhere near 270 lbs) and my head grazes the roof if I don't lean the seat way back. I can't fit with a helmet on.

I'm 6'2" like Felix, and that's about the limit with a stock seat.

The low roof might be resolved by bolting a race seat closer to the floor. The distance from the seat-back to the pedals - where again 6'2" is about the limit with a stock seat - is another thing to consider.

It'll be close... if it works, it'll be great!

since this is gonna be a race only, im assuming, without the rear storage boxes, you might be able to bolt the guide rails of the seat further back, giving you a little more space to recline the seat and some legroom. But I dont know im like a foot shorter that you are so this might not be the most appropiate of suggestions.
