Does anyone know if the Recaro Sport seats will fit in a 3rd Gen. The salesman at Recaro Seats told me they would not, but I am wiling to do some work to get them to fit if possible.
Thanks

The salesman is probably correct, and there is not much you can do to make the seat fit, once I tried to install an old model spacro bucket seat in my fd, after removing the rear compartments, seat, rails, the seat wouldn't fit in, it took me 2~3 hrs and still couldn't make it fit so it would be better if you get one that will fit the FD. I am getting the Spacro REV, because I know it will fit. Before I took my friend's seat because it was just lying there on the floor in his living room, so I thought I might as well make some use of it, but I couldn't.
Good luck

I have a recaro pole position SPG in my car. I had to get some brackets fabricated to make them fit, and even then, it's kind of a rig as the seating position is the same height as stock. I'm planning on getting rid of the sliders and just make a custom bracket to make the seat lower. I know the non-reclinable recaros can fit along with some sparcos with some customization. In japan, bride seats will fit in an FD and bride also makes sliders and rails for the FD to make it fit as well. Also recaro of JAPAN has slider and bracket for recaro SRD (reclinable) as it was shown in hyper rev volume 3 in the widebody R-magic car

If you want to know what the sport seats FEEL like (not the SRD), then go to a Mitsubishi dealer and sit in a new Lancer EVO. They have the recaro sport seats stock! I just sat in one yesterday, they sure are neat cars!
