Fueling issue?

Got my new rebuild up and running. 86 fc with s5 rotors, housings and front cover, and s4 irons. It ran rich and misfired when I first stated it so I got new injectors because it kept flooding. Ordered 4x440cc injectors (I know they should be 460 but I couldn’t find any) and now it idles and sounds great. These new injectors are a different length than the ones in the car from before (weird, right?) It drives at low throttle just fine, I can go through the gears like normal but any throttle position will cause the car to really struggle and not move up in rpm. Also when coming to a stop the engine will drop below idle and die. It turns back on just fine with throttle held down. Stock ecu. No leaks that I know of. What do I do now? Test fuel pressure at rails? I have no muffler right now which I think could be the issue for dying at a stop.

welcome to the boar.

a couple of things come to mind. first, try checking the TPS. second, do you still have the cats in place? if so, check if any of them have failed (broken apart inside).

Any good way to test tps besides replacing the part? No cats, running a racing beat straight pipe full exhaust that someone cut the muffler off of… I’m also running one o2 sensor.

download a copy of the FSM: Foxed.ca there is a procedure detailed in the FSM.

you can check the O2 sensor, too, but do the TPS first.

got the tps dialed in perfect and the tps tested good. It idles good and about 700-800rpm. Giving it throttle at idle sounds good but once you let off throttle it will most likely die. it is drivable under very light throttle but dies when coming to a stop still. any more than light throttle while driving creates no power and massive bog down. new o2 had no affect.
