CA Fuel pump question.

What would be a good upgrade from a stock S4 TII fuel pump? im planing to be in the 350-500. HP range but currently mostly stock. so i want a pump that can work for now but have the capability to go that high. thanks for the help in advance.

You could get away with a fd pump(I don't see you pushing 500 hp with that though)A walbro 255lph can handle it but I would go with a Denso supra twin turbo fuel pump for more reliability, they're rated at 300lph I think and quieter than the walbro

Walbro. Bolts right in and will support 400HP. Buy a real one (not a knockoff) and there are no issues.

FD pump only flows about 20% more then the TII pump, so it is not a suitable upgrade in this case.

By the way, there is a HUGE difference between 350 and 500HP, so decide on your goal before you start buying parts.

Seriously?

For 500HP you'll need a lot more fuel pump but that will be the least of your concerns. A 500HP 13B build is not trivial and not exactly a good first project. Then again, if you have some experience and $15,000 burning a hole in your pocket, then that is a start.

http://www.rx7.com/cgi-local/2ndgencalc.cgi Think bigger for injectors. Honestly, injector sizing is one tiny facet of this project and you got it wrong. I don't mean to discourage your efforts, but you don't want you to end up with thousands of dollars in scrap parts. A more modest project is well within reach with the information on the forum.

I agree with RXSpeed. You have some pretty lofty goals and need to really do some research before buying parts. I too am looking at making 500+ hp and my build is costing me close to 15 by the time its over and done with. With big hp comes more breaking parts ie...trans, clutch, IRS...so on and so on. Good luck and search this site for info. Parts arent cheap so you want to buy the correct ones the first time.

720CC and 1600CC will do the job.

You'll need an engine with at least a street port, a standalone, FMIC and piping, open exhaust, suitable turbo (ie. GT40R), upgraded clutch, appropriate gauges, tires to get the power down, and probably some stuff I am forgetting. Also don't discount tuning because that is fairly important.

I raced a gto 5.7 and lost by about a car and a half. all i have is a straight 2 1/2 in exhaust and intake so i didnt do to bad and that was when i had my emmissons on too
