UT Fuel Injection

Trying to get a new purchase started. Priming the engine results in engine running a few seconds. Connecting jumper to fuel pump bypass plug results in fuel pump working but pump will not come on with just turning the key on. It appears that injectors are not getting signal to inject fuel. Removed plate from under passenger floor board and am puzzled by having three units there. The main computer is obviously the larger square box but what are the other two. Could my problem be one of those? If so which one and what does it look like?

Keith, we have no idea what gen car you're working with...please provide some basic info so the right people can help you (you're in the new member tech section, not generation specific).

FYI, on the 2nd gen, the pump doesn't prime/run with key to on, it will run during cranking and when the car is running (via AFM signal). So while you may still have an issue, that in and of itself isn't a problem if you're talking about a 2nd gen.

Car is 1984 RX7 GSL SE. Fuel pump does not start up with key on unless jumper wire is in place at test connector. Air cleaner flap will also start fuel pump when manually opened. Problem seems to be no signal sent to injectors. Also shop manual shows igniter next to coils. This car has none there. Where is igniter located in my car? Even though ignition does not appear to be a problem, I would like to know.

Also my computer is a N304. I can only find N229 boxes for sale but ads say they are for my 1984 RX7. Are the N229's compatible? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ignitors are mounted on the distributor.
