Turns over, but no fuel?

I won;t ask anymore ?'s for awhile but I have everything hooked up, gas in the tank, but I get no fuel to the engine. I pulled off the fuel line to the engine, had my friend crank it over, and no fuel came out. Can somebody tell me what things to check for like some wires that may not be hooked up. I don't have any fuel leaks, so I know it is not that. I'm thinking that it is either a fuse, wire not hooked up, or maybe a shot fuel pump, but I don't think it is the last one. So if anyone has any clue, let me know.

well aside from the basics things some car techy here can tell you, i had a problem with my N/A where it was actually a malfunctioning car alarm that wouldnt let the car start. cut the fuel or something like a starter kill i guess.

just my own experience with this type of situation.

Sounds like maybe the fuel pump is shot????

Take the fuel line off of the top of the filter, or where it hooks into the metal fuel lines under the intake. Secure the open end into a container of some kind. Jumper the 2-terminal yellow connector by the front passenger side shock tower. This will override the ECU not sending power to the fuel pump. Have an assistant turn the key to the "On" position but do not start the engine. With those yellow connector terminals jumpered you should have 12 volts to the fuel pump making it run. Fuel should start shooting out of the tube into the container.

I had a problem where the fuel pump would run and pump fuel, but it would not maintain adequate pressure to keep the car running.

Let us know what happens....

I did not see any yellow connectors. Can you explain what you mean by jumper? I am still a little lost on what you told me to do, sorry.

Maybe if I just pop thecarpet in the hatch area I will find the wires to the fuel pump and I will hook up the wires to my battery and see it that way, because I cannot find those connectors you were telling me about 91 vert. Still looking at the manual, not finding much. I know I am aking a lot, but I just want the engine running, then I will work out all the bugs on my own. Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming, they are the only things that are keeping me from going insane.

Have you been working in and around the engine or under the dash lately?&nbsp For some reason, doing any kinda serious work on the FC ends up popping the ENGINE fuse in the driver's side kickpanel.&nbsp This fuse supplies power to the fuel pump - it's easy to check and easy to replace.

Hailers, thanks for the pictures, I will go and check it out.
RETed, I feel so stupid, I didn't even know where the fuse panel was, thanks for reminding me. I will check in there right now too. Which fuse is for the fuel pump, I think the cover is in the back, and I think it has them labeled on it, I will check that also.

Nope, no cover, so I will check the online manual, but I don't know where it is, does anyone know what fuse is to the fuel pump? I am getting a little lazy, it has been a long day.

Hailers, what color are the wires that go to that connector? I am searching around out there and there are a lot of connectors.

I think I have found the connector. Is it the yellow one underneath the a/meter? If it is, which ones do I use the jumper wire for, I think there are five or six wires. I am ready to do this, so please get back to me. Thanks.

Sorry, went to sleep. You have the wrong plug if it has more than two wires. Its yellow in color. Just aft of your air filter. Close to the boost sensor. Its possible that it will have a black *boot* covering up the yellow connector so you can't see it right off. Two wires, one black the other brown. It branches off the large harness there and may have slid under the air filter/meter just a bit. Don't jumper anything except that two wire connector. The large connector you found probably goes for cars that have auto adjust suspension. That yellow plug is on all cars and should be b/t the forward part of the strut tower and the air filter. The connector for the fuel pump is located under the carpet, on the aft side of the left hand strut tower. The Blue wire is the power wire, but you find no voltage there unless the key is turned to start or the engine is actually running. With the key to just the on position there is no voltage. Gotta hold it to Start.
