flooding in so cal

Hello I have had my 1987 rx7 for almost two years and enjoy the the car .I sent it to be painted and It flooded out while in the shop . I thought it was just operator error. Last night it did it again on its own and just spins ,gas smell , . I will pull the plugs and report back. It is an automatic and until recently has ran fine without issue . Is this a known problem with rx7s ? Any help greatly appreciat.ed Thanks Tim

Is it flooding when hot, or when cold? Is this a turbo or NA?
