firing on one rotor

when i start it up cold it sounds like its only firing on one rotor. once you get the rpms up to about 3500 the other kicks in and and then it runs fine afer that. i have no idea whats goin on. the other thing is that after its warm if i shut it off to get gas or something it wont start unless i have my foot to the floor. i have the racing beat intake with the holly 650 carb. maybe its flooding? i dont know. anybody got any ideas?

change your plugs and wires. if not that check the ecu for live signal to the primaries to the rear rotor under load. good luck

Every time I've had that problem it was due to a lost apex seal, or rotor bearing. ie no sealing in the combustion chamber.

It could be fuel or spark for sure, most times if it's a motor problem the one rotor will sound bad as well. If it sounds fine and no fire then make sure the spark plug is firing and the rotor is getting fuel.

TheShellBullet, if the spark plugs and wires dont work then replace your fuel filter and remove the lower spark plugs and your egi fuse. then have someone crank your engine and listen for the apex seals. might as well do a compression test too.
