What mods does the car have?
How long has the problem been happening?
Did the problem coincide with any work you did or changes you made?

Describe the bucking the car makes in detail. What RPM? How much are you pressing the throttle (gas pedal)?
Does the bucking happen with boost or when not boosting? How much boost are you running?

When does it smoke? At start up? While driving? Only under boost?
What color is the smoke? Got a video of the smoking?
Does the smoke smell like anything?

Here is a link to the 3rd gen FAQ thread:

Lots of good info in there for future reference.

what i did on my fc was adjust the tps, the recommended tps on the fc was 1000 Ohms and it was sitting at 1500 ohms before adjusting it.

After adjusting the tps it improved the bucking by abit. Check what the fsm recommends your tps to be set at then adjust using a multimeter or make your own test lights out of LEDS.

I think the video will be useful. Point the video camera at the exhaust at cold startup. Wait 2-5 minutes. Point the camera at the dash so we can see the RPMs at idle. Have someone point the camera to get a view of the gauges to show us the bucking.

Do you mean Prestone? Like antifreeze? Then I think you may have a coolant seal failure.

If you can find a competent rotary shop then take it there, or look up coolant seal tests such as the exhaust gas test, champagne bubble test, etc.
