Do you think JDM FD Doors are lighter than USDM FD Doors?

Was thinking of another way to save weight. This car Im saving up for, I currently have about $20k in reserve, gonna save another $20 to $25 k before I go car shopping.

USDM cars, iirc, part of their safety measures were to have thick metal beams in the door to safe guard the driver in side impacts. To be frank, I don't get in side impacts all that often in life, same thing for airbags, I almost never use them. And the cars I'm looking at, are probably going to have a cage anyways which is superior to side impact door beams anyways.

Couldn't there be a substantial weight savings by switching out USDM doors for JDM doors?

I could be wrong but usually the impact bracing in the doors is the weight difference between us cars and cars abroad.
