Cranks but won't start

hey guys, my 1990 rx-7 covertible cranks but won't start just trying to see if anyone else has this problem and could help me narrow it down.

From: tulsa,ok.
Check compression to begin with. See if it starts briefly w/starting fluid. If it does not then make sure the lead coil has 12 volts on the Black/Yellow wire w/key to on. If it does not then check the 15 amp engine fuse(interior fuse box). If the fuse is good then check the engine fuse box and see if the EGI fuse is good.

i have spark and compression fuses are good also

^^^^^^^ your missing fuel from that equation. Make sure you have fuel. Did you try starting fluid like satch mentioned above?

It has fuel we drained the battery to override the computer and now it starts up could that mean mabe a sensor of some sort wasnt letting me start it ?

It most likely means that the car was flooded.

instead of draining battery to clear codes just pull negative terminal off battery for about 3o secs
