car won't start
I Have an 82 RX-7 with the 12A engine. It's equipped with a four barrel carb. No idea on the brand. The engine will sometimes start if I spray starting fluid on the primary two barrels. Once it starts, it runs fine. Couple people who don't know much about rotary engines feel it could be that I might have to replace the diaphragm.
Any ideas or contrary thoughts on this issue?? Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

There should be an accelerator pump that probably has a diaphragm. The make and model of the carb. would be a big help.
The stock carb. is/was a 4 barrel with an accelerator pump and a choke. A very good resource where you can download relevant

Thanks for your advice, I found an expert on these engines and he checked it out. He found out that one of the combustion chambers was flooded with fuel. Car now starts with some difficulties.
