Car won't start

I am having difficulties. I live in the Florida Panhandle, and just sat through hurricane dennis. Now my car won't start. It started fine before and during the hurricane( had to move it becuase a tree was about to fall on it.) Now, it will crank, but the engine won't turn over. Any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

Nate

This is typical of Rx-7s after a hurricane.
When you moved it away from the tree you flooded it.
De-flood.

From: Windsor/Toronto, depends on the mood i'm in!
Just what kick7ca has said..........
Thats a common problem.....when you just start up your car and move it, and shut it off right away you will flood the engine. I,ve done it once myself

shove in the gas for about 30 seconds. Should be pretty difficult, but try after that and when it fires let it sit for about 5 minutes and burn off the flooded gas.

Ok read faq's for the FC sticky

"My car doesn't start
Remember when starting a fuel injected car you should never pump or press the accellerator pedal, but if it won't start it is probably flooded, Hold the accelerator pedal all the way down while cranking, do not pump the pedal. If it still doesn't start after a few tries, Then remove the EGI fuse and crank a couple more times, then re-install the fuse and try starting again. If then the car still fails to start it then you need to remove and clean the spark plugs, put in a teaspoon of ATF into the lower sparkplug holes, re-install the spark plugs and try again. Make sure you change your oil after you have started and run the car ASAP."

Appreciate the help guys. I got it fired up by pulling the EGI fuse and cranking, then replacing. Thanks.
