Bucking

My 1987 Rx7 gxl is bucking and not going past 1500 rpms no matter how far I go on the throttle. It will idle fine, but as soon as you start on the gas is sounds like it is murdering itself.... HELP!

well its not a buckle but more of a chatter/clunking noise for me...

Sounds kinda like the air flow meter but is this 5 spd or automatic. Did you buy the car like this and was there anything you replaced previously?

Fuel pressure? Stick a gauge in and make sure it's not dropping off pressure when it bucks.

A dudd air flow meter will also cause this.
