Fc3s mechanical ebrake seized,

One side of my 1987 n/a fc3s mechanical ebrake has seized, I've tryed freeing it but nothing has worked, even snapped a cable trying to free it, 80$ later im now waiting to get it freed up before replacing the broken parts, its just seized on the pivot point, anyone had simulator problems? Thanks.

usually it is the cable as there are 3...one Main cable then it splits into one for each side.
The brakes have a spring that operate a plunger on one side of the caliper.
You can get a rebuild kit for the calipers, but the best bet is to just get a new one.It would save you the time and aggravation of taking those stupid things apart!

Funny thing though, the last Time I priced calipers, they had 2 versions.
One with the bracket and one without.

The plunger it self is sezied, I didnt know what to call it, all cables move freely, just the plunger won't move at all.
