bought a 1988 rx7

need some pointers in how to do something like tune it up how to make it sound meaner and any tips or pointers you can give me ill will appreciated.

You're going to have to ask more specific questions if you want useful answers. Let us know whether your '88 is NA or turbo, for a start.

To make it sound meaner, upgrade the exhaust. By far, the nicest exhaust made for the 2nd gens are the exhausts made by Racing Beat.

tried to find some like youtube vids of the true dual racing beat exhaust... but i dont know if iam just having a fail day or what but i struck out... lol any help?

True dual certainly is mean, but its seriously loud and probably not suitable in most people's opinions for a street car.

I got some dual mazdaspeed muffs with 5'' tips that you wont be able to hear after about 30mins of driving for sale !! Thats what you need lol
