Body harness plug question

Body harness plug question
I was wondering how to take the metal "tab" inside the plug out so i can resoder the wire back to it.
Is it as simple as a pair of needle nose plyers or is there some special way of removing it? Im afraid of damaging them with the plyers so i figured id ask. Thanks any answers appreciated
