air pump to actuators

air pump to actuators

how can i on my 86 na use my airpump to open ports. do i just use the main air pump hose and place it to the actuator hose. and simply splice in the split hose in to it aswell?

the actuators need air only at certain times, above 3800 rpm. below that the valves should be closed. i have a s5^ i dont know much about s4.

yea i just dont think there opening right now. i feel a mega boost at around 4k rpms but my actuator are a little dusty on the actuator spline. making me thing they arnt opening

if you feel the boost they are probably opening.
dab a little grease on them and see if it smears

yeah just wipe it off after so dust doesnt stick to it

and obviously put it somewhere where you will notice it smear lol

everyone mention the "greese trick" but not that it will work on s4's but not s5's, why?

S4 actuators are pull type, but S5 actuators are push type. The grease won't move on the S5 version, since the rod never gets pulled into the actuator body.
