'92 Rx7 With Idle problems

Hello everyone, I'm new here, just looking for some insight or ideas of what might be wrong with my Rx7.

Alright so first off, I bought a 1992 Mazda Rx7 1.3L TT, RHD, about 3 months ago.
When I first bought it the car started fine and ran fine. I got it home and parked it for the rest of the winter. During the winter the battery died, so I replaced that. When I went to go start it up, it didn't start at all, so I checked the alternator, which was fucked aswell, and and replaced that, and it still didn't start.

So today I was out tinkering with the spark plugs and ignition coil and I managed to get it to start up, but it holds a very rough idle.
The rpm's jump all over the place and it makes some terrible noise.
I have a quick 30 second video here of what the idle is like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-alxjduzvtU

It's also got a tinge of blue smoke coming out the exhaust with the white smoke and is burning very rich. Tryed to show in the video but it didn't work so well.

Thanks everyone!

So I flushed the coolant today (Which was gross, watery, and rusty)
Put new coolant in, makes the car start alot easier, and the idle is alot smoother now.
But there is smoke coming from the O2 Censor (Guessing it's a exaust leak) Anyone else have a clue what it could be?
Also when I rev it up a bit, blue smoke starts to pour out the exaust, and it'll blow off 4k rpms but if I jump it up to 6k after that it backfires out in a puff of black smoke.
I'm very confused as to what might be causing all this.

Any insight at all would be appriciated!

I have a sec. gen. 91tII you should tune car being that it sat all winter. when you first start a rotory they may smoke for a couple min., but clean the turbo intake filters change the oil plugs & wires & have someone that knows gen.3s check your car.the blue smoke can be oil & the white smoke can be condensation.just have the car checked!!!! better safe than rebuilding the motor.

Yeah, I know I definately have to change the plugs and wires.
I might have to take it in to the specialties shop near by, but I'd rather avoid that ridiculous cost if possible.

I have a mechanic in my house that is helping me through the whole process, so I'd still like to hear some suggestions incase it's something easily fixable

So either rotary's fix themselves overnight or something crazy is going on here.

So for a new update, last night me and my moms boyfriend were just talking about my car and realize that we had forgot to attach some lines when putting the air filters back in. so we attached them and left it for the night.

I went out just 5 minutes ago to go start it up and see how it was running.
Start up was easy, it started like normal, revved high at about 2k rpms at the start, but then slowly dropped down to a normal idle, and it held that idle pretty well.
There's no more smoke coming from the engine, when last time we had it running it was billowing from the o2 censor.
It's not burning as rich out the back end, and the blue smoke isn't there until I rev it up. Once I rev it up to 4k-6k the smoke still pours, and it still doesn't blow off 6k properly.

Other then that revving issue, I don't see much else wrong with it, which just confuses me even more.

Sounds like it got flooded a bit.

Usually it will run rough and smoky for a couple minutes after it's finally started.

Well, my car seems to be running just fine.
I'll be taking it out tonight to see how it drives.

what a weird course of events.
