The '88 brochure has gone missing from the thread, but here is the '87 one. The ratios are the same: https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...21&postcount=3. By the way, an NA transmission is not going to put up with V8 torque for long.

all S5 verts have 4.101 to 1. auto or manual.

The only year the s4 vert was made was the 88.

you could get under the car and mark the flange and housing, and then count 4 turns of the tires, if the driveshaf tmark is before the houseing mark, after 4 turns, then it's a 3.909. if the driveshaft mark is after, the it's a 4.101.

Which is all pointless as you'll likely blown the N/a rear with any kind of hard launch.

Rear end ratios are on that page too. Right below the transmission ratios.

Unless swapped, all '88 verts had 3.9 open diffs.

yeah the rear end is lincon locked so im not worryed about the diff just the snub shafts. i dont know who is right but theres a lot of posts that say the n/a will hold the power of the v8 and some people say it wont. ill just have to give it a try.

The half shafts have been snapped by engines with only ~150 wtq, but they were beat on. I can tell you that the NA diff in my car has held up fine for 20,000 miles with ~250wtq.

As I mentioned, the '88 brochure image is gone. It was hosted somewhere on Icemark's site. So you just have to take my word for it . The S5 convertibles all switched over to 4.1 open rears.
