NJ 88 Turbo Vert Rear Axle Questions

Hey guys Im doing a 88 Tutbo Convertible and I have a few questions about the rear.

1. Is it a Limited Slip Differential?
2. How much power will it hold?
3. If I can't use it in my project how hard is it to convert it to a TurboII and what parts will I need?

Thanks guys let me know.

Jimmy

It's LSD.

How much power depends on a lot of things, mainly how you drive the car. There are a lot of people who will say they don't hold much power. I've been putting over 400HP through mine for several years.

To go TII you have two options. The first is to swap in the TII diff and associated drivetrain parts. The FAQ will give you the details. The 2nd is to use a custom driveshaft to connect the TII transmission to the NA diff. These are available from Mazdatrix or you can have your local driveline shop make one up.

OK. Thanks for your help man. I'm probably gonna do the driveshaft for now to save money.
