I am changing out the rack an pinion on my 88 GXL. The old rack has 3 hoses and the new one only has 2. What do I do?

 

get the correct rack.
you sort of found out the hard way there are 2 versions.

 

The parts store only sells this one. They think it was miss-boxed. I'll find out when the replacement is received. Was worried I might have to loop one of the lines but there was no postings relating to that procedure.

Try another parts store if they give you the same one.
there is a 3 port and a 2 port.
