I've got a 1980 SA and wanted to remove the main pulley to scratch in some timing marks but I can't seem to get it off.

I've removed 4 10mm bolts so far and the front groove (A/C belt) came off with some prying but the rear two, including the one with the timing marks won't budge.

Am I forgetting to remove something or does it just need some more "persuasion"?

there are pulley puller kit that can assist you removing the pulley with ease.
