CT 88 RX7 convertible won't shift into gear

The other night I was driving and went to shift from first to second and the car felt like it went into neutral. I was trying to push the clutch in and shift gears, but literally nothing would work. I was sitting there dumbfounded with my car running not knowing what to do, luckily Google saved me by saying to turn the car off and put it in to gear, which worked. Luckily I have a strong battery because I managed to hop the car until it started and drove it home in 1st gear. Today I started the car and it was vibrating, the shifter seemed to be vibrating the most, the car still wont go into gear unless its off. I checked my hydraulics and don't seem to be able to find a problem, unless i'm simply not looking in the right place. Worst case scenario is dropping the transmission obviously, but I was wondering what things I can look for before diving in to such a big job(for me at least). Thank you.

The car has btw 137k miles and is all stock.

Exactly what I was scared of hearing, thank you. I was hoping to find something wrong on the outside so bad haha.

I would also concur that the pilot bearing has failed. Hoping no damage was done to the tip of the input shaft. I would remove the trans and replace the clutch kit, remove and replace the pilot bearing, and have the flywheel surfaced.
