86 RX7 N/A Problems
I recently bought a used 86 Mazda RX7, I used a timing light to test all the spark plugs and noticed that the T1 was not firing! I bought a new coil pack and the spark plug still doesnt fire! Does any one know what could be causing this or how i could fix it. Also the idle jumps up and down, is this caused by one of the spark plugs not firing? Thank you in advanced for the help.

Is it possible the previous owner unplugged something? Not sure exactly what plugs up to the coils (even though I just put my harness back together, doh) but I would double check to make sure everything is plugged in. The wire harness are almost fool proof. Assuming nothing has been rerouted, the plugs will only connect to what's within fairly close proximity and although there are a lot of lookalike plugs, they generally only fit what they intended to.

could be anything..like the OP wearing sunglasses..as he hasn't posted up any progress.
Spark plug wires, bad or fouled trailing plugs.,trailing coil is not grounded sufficiently.
Could also be a bad Read from the timing gun too,if the gun's induction clamp isn't on correctly it won't show spark(timing).
The hunting may be a vacuum leak to the Tps needing adjustment..
But then again we still do not know as no news from DUDE to rule out anything..!..
Dude...where'd ya go dude??..we have a NEWB down!.I repeat.. a Newb Down!!!!
