83 GSL no tachometer with sub 0°C start
Hi everyone, first time poster.
So, I was driving to work today. Temperature was maybe -8 °C this morning. I needed to use the choke to get started. No problem. However, when I started the car this morning, the tachometer failed to move at all. All the other gauges worked fine. No warning lights or anything. Wondering if anyone knows what might be the problem.
I know the tach was working perfectly before because it last week and Saturday or was totally fine.
Thanks.
Edit: Searched more and saw it's the cold solidifying the grease in the tach. I'll try warming up the car for a while tomorrow and see if that solves it. I find it too difficult to drive without the tach while waiting for it to warm up (as other threads said works).
