The tach on my 1983 GSL stopped working while driving earlier this afternoon. All other guages work fine. Pulled cluster but saw nothing out of order. Did I miss something? Is there a cable I should be checking?

Appreciate any help.

Thanks for the fast reply. I have had no problems in the cold. The tach has worked fine always until it dropped and stopped this afternoon! I'll keep you posted on possible fix's as I gather them from this and other sites.

Check to see if you have trailing spark. On '81-85 models if the trailing ignitor goes bad, you lose the tach signal too.
