80’ rx7 throttle cable

Hello! I just recently got a rx7 ls(i believe it’s a ls but im not sure) and was tasked with reinstalling the carburetor. Safe to say it’s been extremely difficult but the car does start. Won’t stay running but a problem for another day. The issue here is my throttle cable is disconnected from the gas pedal. I’m not sure how to get it back to being connected to it. As well as i can’t figure out how to make the throttle cable tighter and how to properly connect it to the carb. If anyone could help me i would appreciate it. Thank you!

welcome to the board.

first, you can get a copy of your FSM here: Foxed.ca

at the pedal end, you need to get down there on the floor and locate the end of the cable, then if it is disconnected, reattach it to the top end of the pedal.

at the carburetor end, you look to the firewall side of the carburetor and locate the accelerator arm. you should be able to see where and how it connects. when it's connected, you lock the cable down in the cable bracket.
