NJ my turbo?

i purchased my fc few months ago. im having a hard time figureing out what turbo is on the car. its deffinately not stock, it doesnt have any markings on the compressor cover. on the exhaust housing it says garrett, cant see any numbers. its pretty larger than stock. the downpipe is a raceing beat and its 3 bolts. internally gated. if i can get pictures uploaded i will., oh an its water/oil cooled.. it looks pretty fresh. the guy who i bought it from didnt have any idea.... so that dont help me. im curious because i dont really see many turbo upgrades as in direct bolton for the car unless im not looking at the right websites. most i see are custom jobs etc.. i dont know if i wanna keep with this turbo or change to a diffrent one.

It sounds like it may be a hybrid stock turbo. Check out this thread for lots of info and pictures: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/building-budget-hybrid-turbo-ebay-t04-parts-921510/.

Without removing the turbo from the car, it's hard to say exactly what it is. There are a bunch of different compressor and turbine combinations that can be adapted into a stock turbo. You'll need wheel measurements to determine trim level / power potential. A picture looking into the compressor inlet could give you an idea based on the number of fins.
