1992 Rx7 FD 1st gear loose power

Hey just been trying to get my 7 on the road, drive great the 1st day out then, second day, it turns on fine idles fine. once I put it on first gear and start moving my radio shuts off, the rpm flutter down to line 500rpm almost like trying to shut off. then re radio restarts and if I put it back to neutral or 2nd gear it keeps running. please need some ideas on where to start my troubleshoot.
