1st gear question...

quick question, in first gear, when you hit 3500 rpms how fast are you going?

i ask because in my car, when i hit 3500 rpm, it seems like i am going 10 mph. In 5th gear, when i hit 3k rpms im going like 60-65 mph. It seems like 1st gear has no power.

ps: is hooking up the s-afc2 the same as hooking up the s-afc? if i have the s-afc2 can i follow this guide to install it? http://www.1300cc.com/howto/how2/safc.htm

Without checking, I think 1st @ 3500 should be about 17MPH.

Possibilities:
clutch slipping?
speedometer error?

Why are you driving around in 1st gear???
1st gear is just to get your rolling from a dead stop and for hills.

Highly doubtful clutch will slip in 1st gear.
Clutch slippage will usually appear in higher gears first.
If your clutch is actually slipping in 1st gear, it's totally gone, and you wouldn't be able to drive anywhere.

Never mind what it seems like, what does the speedo say? 3500rpm in 1st is 17mph, and 3000rpm in 5th is either 74mph (NA) or 68mph (Turbo).
