Good Morning,

Last night it was wet out so I decided go in the parking lot and do 360s. Not a good idea. I have a 1990 Turboll with a 13B-REW street ported with a Precision 6266. I just made 417rwhp on Thursday 1/10/2013. I was in 1st gear the whole time until I decided to try 2nd gear. I missed the gear and I think I grinded 2nd gear. After that the car will not go back in 1st gear. All the other gears work but it is a little tight coming out of 2nd. With the car on or off it will not go into
1st gear. All fluids are good. Any idea what I broke?

With that power just live without first lol

 

It is only at 12 psi.. It's A LOT of fun.. but I want 1st gear back for regular driving around town.

 

get a new transmission.

Very odd but I drove the car for about 15 minutes and it went back into first gear. Hopefully everything is okay now. Thanks guys.

 

Get a new transmission. You probably smashed up a syncro. 2nd gear syncros go bad quite often on Mazda transmissions. But, with 417 WHP you should be able to start off in 3rd!

 

Change the fluid, might help until you can source a new transmission

 

I'm going to change the fluid but its going into 1st gear now. I don't know how it fixed it self, which is getting me worried. It drives like nothing happened. Any ideas Why it would just start working again?
