1990 non turbo rx7 flooding problems

I have the above mazda conv. which after several years of summer use with no troubles it has now for the past year had flooding problems consistently even without the the short start problem. I have de-flooded it several times which worked but now seems to be worse meaning I have to pull plugs and do a more elaborate and troublesome fix. I read that the injectors may leak or the fuel management computer may be at fault. Any help on this would be nice as I like the car but getting tired of this problem. Thanks-Art.

Welcome to the board.

Constant flooding ... leaky injectors are the first things that come to mind. However, you may also want to make sure your ignition system is up to snuff (good wires, coils and plugs) and also getting the power it needs. For leaky injectors, you'll want to have the cleaned and rebuilt. Here are some options:
Injector-Rehab Fuel Injector Cleaning Services

Research what's best for you. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Question; I see several ideas about a fuel cutoff switch to reduce flooding. Could one just pull the fuse to shut engine down and then of course turn the key off? I would think that would have the same effect then when in my case I have more time and then install the cut off switch as suggested.
