1990 GTU Idling at 3300 RPM, no power
I have a 1990 GTU that I have been trying to get running. It starts at about 2000 rpms, then jumps to 3300 and stays there. When attempting to drive it, the throttle isn't very responsive and the car has no power, driving for two or three minutes causes the exhaust to start to overheat, with the passenger floorboard getting extremely hot.
Originally I had a CEL for the MOP, which was caused by an animal chewing through the wires, but that has since been repaired by soldering the wires back together. There isn't a CEL on since the repair.

if you had a animal chew through the wires, you can almost bet an animal made its nest in the exhaust. Unbolt your exhaust where the cat meets the manifold, put on some ear muffs, and start it that way and see if its any different. If this doesn't change anything, compression test the engine. But I bet you have a plugged exhaust

No pulses at all. The other rotor shows compression at about 95, but the rear rotor doesn't even pulse at all. I tried it twice to be sure, but the result is the same.
