1990 convertible oil metering

If one of the oil lines from the pump to the intake is broken will it cause the engine to go into limp mode

No, a broken OMP delivery line will not cause the car to go into Limp Mode. However, it will make a mess and deliver insufficient oil to the apex seals. Items like this need to replaced ASAP to keep your engine running happy.
